UvA Vertalers was founded in 1988 by the Faculty of Arts at the University of Amsterdam.

Since 1997 UvA Vertalers BV has been an independent subsidiary of UvA Holding BV.

With seven permanent members of staff and numerous specialised translators UvA Vertalers ranks among the larger copywriting and translation agencies in the Netherlands.

UvA Vertalers is situated in the heart of Amsterdam, immediately behind Magna Plaza and Dam Palace.
